Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It has gradational contacts with the overlying Sylhet UmlatodohLmsMbr Fm.
Upper contact
It has gradational contacts with the underlying Sylet LakadongLmsMbr Fm.
Regional extent
It extends in the Khasi Hills from west of the Um Sohryngkew river till the eastern margin of the Shillong Plateau.
GeoJSON
Fossils
It is generally unfossiliferous but towards the top a few fossiliferous bands yield fauna dominated by smaller benthic foraminfera. The coals yield leaf impressions.
Age
Depositional setting
Regressive marginal marine to deltaic conditions. The base and top show considerable marine influence.
